Where I Stay                                                                                                                            

Toon and Chai have two homes.  The one I stay in they call their "town house."

 

This is a gated home at night, mainly to keep the dog in.

The shower is the whole room with a drain in the floor.

Most bathrooms are made that way.

There is a step down from the bedroom so the water

does not get into the bedroom.

 

 

Toon and Chai's "Rice House"

The little red roof off to the left is a floating kitchen

and family room.  Chai built it so it would float when

the rains came.  He designed and built it.

Two years ago when it flooded so bad and the first

floor of the house was full of water, this kitchen

and living area just rose to the top level and all was OK.

Rice field

It is full of water, once in awhile you can see fish jump.

This is a different type of rice than the Jasmine that

Batty has on her farm so it is growing now.

The Jasmine will be planted the first of May.

There is a moat around the floating part of the house.

They have fish in there and have netted off an area

for raising shrimp.
