June 3 - Back to the USA
We docked in Copenhagen about 7:AM. At 7:30 they started groups disembarking. The first ones to get off were those that were to stay longer in Copenhagen.
We were given various colored luggage tags for when we were to get off. The second group was aqua, which was ours. We were to get off at 8:15 but they called us already at 7:45. We got onto buses and headed for the airport, a 45 minute ride.
That airport is something else, lots of lines. We stood in line to get our boarding passes. Then another line to check in our luggage. We had asked for a wheel chair for me so had to wait for that. As we were a couple of hours early they took us through customs and then to a lounge with comfortable chairs to wait. When time to load the plane they came for us there. We passed lines or people getting to the area where they were to get on their planes. Since I had a wheel chair, this time a cart as there were several of us, we passed all of these lines and were taken directly to check in and onto the plane. One good reason to have trouble walking you miss all the lines.
Our plane left Copenhagen about 12:30. Eight hours later we were met by Bert at Dulles Airport in Washington, DC. He took us to his home where Batty had a Thai supper for us.
Fun time with Brian before he had to go to bed at 8:PM.
