November 22, 2013

It has been a long time since I have added anything to my blog.  It should read Oh, The Things I have been doing instead of where the places I have gone.  I have been at home most of the time crocheting ruffles.  I have got into making the ruffle scarves.  They have been popular here.  Making some for a friend's new cafĂ© and gift shop, the hospital aux., and the teachers has kept me busy.  I enjoy being busy and not just twiddling my thumbs.

Will add a few pictures.  I have many more colors than these, will list them after the pictures..

The scarves sell for $8.00 each plus postage.

July 1 -4 Topeka

We left Elizabeth about 4:30 PM.  We drove through some prairie lands and got to Longland, CO for the night.  Brought in our card box and worked on some until about midnight. In the morning we started for Topeka staying the home where Shelley keeps her extra things. We finished the cards.  I left those with Shelley.  We left the 4th about 8:15 AM for Lincoln.  We stopped at Marysville, KS and got Shelley's field car.  I followed her to Lincoln where we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. I left for my sister's in Iowa and Shelley waited for her coworker Judy to fly in from the British Isles at 7:45 PM.  I got to Vonnie's in time for supper.

June 24 - Left Iowa for Elizabeth, CO

Shelley was asked to go to convention in Elizabeth, CO and do sign language for a deaf lady at our convention.  We left Churdan about 8:30 AM and arrived in Elizabeth at 7:30 PM.  All went well.
We will be here until June 30.
