June 18 - Zion, Red & Bryce Canyons

Leaving Hurricane, Utah after a good night's rest we headed for Zion Canyon.  The road to the park was lovely.

The free tour bus we rode in.
The price came with the entrance fee.
I purchased a $10.00 entrance fee which will
last all my life for all National Parks

This route is one that the shuttle buses take.
No cars beyond  the park hotel.

This route is wheelchair assessable so I could
walk most of it.  I did stop and rest while Shelley
with the camera walked to the end.

Where we ate our lunch outside.

Views from our table

Highway 9 takes us across the southern side
of the park.  Views along this route.

We are now through Zion National Park on our way to
Bryce National Park.

These elk are fenced in but we thought they were
majestic with their big antlers.

The outcroppings on the hills were getting more
red the farther we went.

We came to the sign that said Red Canyon
and we knew the reason why.

Bryce Canyon is beautiful but you have to get out
of the car at each site to see the formations.  The
driving is on high flatter ground with the canyons
below.
