June 10 - Riverton

We drove until 65 miles west of Larimie, WY, and spent the night on a large ranch of some of the friends.  What a lovely place.  Would have liked to spent a lot more time there.  There address is really Elk Mountain but they do most of their business in Larimie.

View of the mountain from the ranch

River that goes through their ranch.
I was driving over a one lane wooden bridge
with no sides.

Horses near their homes.
After breakfast they were saddled and taken out on
the ranch.

Mountains the other way from the
ranch.

Main house
We had breakfast here but slept in another home.

Their mountain from farther down their dirt driveway.

We are at 8,000 feet so there is still snow in the
lower lands.

As you drive along in rather flat land you come
to these outcroppings all along the way.

The outcroppings turn into hills

then cliffs some white, some red, some orange.

White capped mountains in the distance.

We had no trouble with my car but the other one had a flat tire.  Shelley noticed that it was
going flat so we called them to tell them.  We turned off at the next exit.  Even though it was a new tire they had to get a new one before we could go on.  We arrived in the Salt Lake City area at rush hour.  Shelley did a good job of following and we arrived at the convention grounds about 4:30.
